Calendar for Poetry Matters Workshops 2013

Happy New Year!

We have finally gotten out from under the pile of left over work from before the holidays. We are now ready to get 2013 underway.  We will return to Augusta Richmond County Library, 823 Telfair Street this Saturday, January 12th at 10:00 a.m. We will pick up our discussion with contemporary poets. If you can come by do so. If not come back to this blog, I will have the highlights posted here. To register visit Augusta Public Library Facebook page for more information. Can’t find anything there email me

We have added the Columbia County Main Library to our list of locations for poetry workshops. Thanks to Tracey Busbee, Columbia County Teen Librarian, we will hold two workshops one for middle schoolers on January 15th at 4:00 p.m. The next workshop will be held one week later for high school students January 22 at 4:00 p.m.  What will we cover at these workshops? Our annual poetry contest of course! Don’t know what I’m talking?

We are also on track for workshops to continue on the second Saturday of each month in February and March with big celebrations planned in April during Poetry Month.

Send us your comments or questions and if you are reading this.  Share it with a friend.
